Oak Grove Entertainment to Host Viewing Party for Indie Film on June 3rd!

(May 26, 2016- Baton Rouge, LA) –Oak Grove Entertainment is proud to announce a public viewing of “The Devil’s Blues” at the Manship Theatre on June 3rd 2016. Tickets are available for purchase on Manship Theatre’s official webpage and at will call. Tickets start at $10 and there will be a reception to follow with a live Q&A with the actors and producers. Merchandise will be available for purchase, including limited edition vinyl featuring music from the film and inspired by the film. “The Devil’s Blues” will hit select theatres Fall 2016.

This psychodrama stars musician Julien Larieux and is directed by Paula Turner. Supporting roles included Pheromone actress Brittany James and Sweet Temptation actors Jake Chester and Theron North. “The Devil’s Blues” indulges into the psyche of an American bluesman, Neal “Wolfman” Mercier, who’s musical talents, according to legend, were bestowed upon him by the devil himself. Larieux plays “Wolfman” and the film details the moments leading up to Wolfman’s encounter with the devil and his short lived fame due to his untimely death.

Julien Larieux is a Canadian American rock guitarist, singer, songwriter, and front man of two time Grammy nominated band Stone Free. Larieux, born in Toronto, Canada, spent his early childhood in between Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee. He learned to play acoustic guitar in the fourth grade and began playing electric by the time he was a high school senior at Nashville School of Arts. He relocated to New Orleans, LA in 2007 to study Music and Theatre at Dillard University. There he met his band mates and in 2008 formed Used Blues, which later, 2010, changed their name to Stone Free, an homage to rock legend Jimi Hendrix.
